Megabitz logs and records the Message-ID's of uploaded articles to assist in tracking down abuse of our systems.
Megabitz will not release customer information to investigators, police, attorneys, or agencies unless directed to do so by a court of competent jurisdiction. Customers will be notified so that they may have an opportunity to challenge a demand for their personal information.
Megabitz cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies. However, Megabitz will not relinquish customer information unless directed to do so by a court of competent jurisdiction. Megabitz will, when requested by law enforcement entities, acknowledge the existence of personal customer information, and when requested, provide the technical language to include in the court order, "particularly describing ... the property to be seized." In a criminal investigation, Megabitz may be under a duty not to divulge the fact of the investigation to the customer.
